Communications Intern

Supported national outreach ahead of the organization’s 40th anniversary by managing social media analytics for all 33 Challenger Learning Centers, creating digital campaigns, and maintaining web content to align with industry standards. I also researched and developed media and influencer outreach strategies to expand the organization’s visibility. This role deepened my understanding of nonprofit communications and digital storytelling, combining creativity with data-driven strategy to engage audiences in Challenger Center’s mission to inspire the next generation of STEM explorers.

Public Relations Director

As PR Director, I lead the organization’s public relations and marketing strategy for each production and the season as a whole. I oversee content planning and manage a PR team to ensure consistent, engaging promotion across platforms by organizing and maintaining a content calendar for social media and promotional outreach, leading the PR team in developing graphics for social media and print materials, helping produce video and photographic advertisements to promote shows, and collaborating on branding and visual identity for individual productions and the overall season

Artistic Director

Led the artistic vision and programming for the season, collaborating with the board to curate a cohesive lineup of productions. Oversaw the creative process from auditions through rehearsals, ensuring consistency in artistic direction across all shows. Provided guidance and support to directors and production teams, fostering a collaborative and unified theatrical environment. Additional responsibilities included season planning, creative decision-making, and upholding the overall quality and integrity of the organization’s artistic output.

Researched, wrote, and presented on current events and campus issues in an engaging, comedic, sketch comedy format. I collaborated with a production team to film, edit, and promote each episode, ensuring content was both entertaining and professional. This experience sharpened my on-camera presence, improvisational skills, and ability to communicate clearly under pressure, while reinforcing the importance of storytelling and accessibility in public-facing media.

TEDx Clear Lake

Co- President and Speaker

Delivered a talk on improving climate change education and public understanding of environmental issues. The experience taught me how to communicate complex scientific ideas in an accessible, engaging way and strengthened my confidence in public speaking and storytelling. The following year, I served as Co-President, leading a team to organize and promote the annual TEDx event. In this role, I managed speaker outreach, coordinated logistics, and oversaw marketing efforts to ensure the event’s success. Together, these experiences deepened my passion for using communication to inspire action and make challenging topics approachable for diverse audiences.
